Paul Y.P. Lee
Paul has a practice focussed on construction, commercial and land law. He has appeared as sole counsel in the High Court, District Court, Lands Tribunal and Magistrates’ Court in cases involving construction, commercial, land, company, bankruptcy & winding-up and criminal law. Paul is developing his arbitration practice, and has been instructed as junior counsel for a number of construction arbitration cases. He acted for an involved party in the Commission of Inquiry for the Hung Hom Station Extension under the Shatin to Central Link Project.
Paul is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Prior to joining the bar, he had over ten years' experience in Hong Kong and the UK working as a contract consultant, litigation paralegal and structural and civil engineer. He was previously a Representative at the Free Representation Unit (London), where he advocated successfully for claimants in the Employment Tribunal (England & Wales).
Paul was a Society of Construction Law Hong Kong Scholar in 2017. He is a native speaker of both English and Cantonese and is fluent in Putonghua.
