About Matthew
Matthew joined Chambers in 2024 having served his pupillage under Mr. John Reading SC, Mr. Jeevan Hingorani, Mr. Michael Delaney, and Mr. Hylas Chung.
Prior to becoming a Barrister, Matthew had over 35 years leadership and senior management experience in both the public and private sector. Starting his career as a Naval Officer, Matthew then joined the Hong Kong Police as an Inspector, serving in both the Marine Police and Commercial Crime Bureau. After his public sector service Matthew entered the private sector, initially as a forensic accounting manager with KPMG and subsequently in a long career with the technology firm Cisco where he held various global, senior roles, focussing initially on intellectual property protection and subsequently on the deployment of advanced technologies including the ‘Internet of Things’ and Artificial Intelligence in both the public and private sector.
Matthew is building a broad practice in both Criminal and Civil disputes. He accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.
